PFAS (including PFOA, PFOS, and GenX) have been widely used in products like non-stick cookware, stain-resistant fabrics, and firefighting foam. Due to their resistance to breaking down, they are often called “forever chemicals” and are increasingly found in water supplies, soil, and even human tissues.

Both PFCS and PFAS are known for their potential adverse impacts on health, including links to cancer, hormone disruption, and immune system effects. The persistence of these chemicals means they accumulate over time in the environment and in living organisms.
